Our Vision: A world in which individuals and families affected by autism are empowered to fulfill their individual potential and participate in society to the fullest extent possible. The Foothill Autism Alliance was founded in 1998 by a group of parents in Glendale, Burbank, Pasadena, and La Canada who wanted to share resources and provide information and support for the ever-increasing number of families in the area whose children were being diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders. Since its founding, the FAA has become a California non-profit corporation, whose Board of Directors is comprised of both parents and professionals. The FAA, an all-volunteer organization, hosts a variety of events including monthly Family Resource Meetings, workshops, lectures, and social functions. Each month, noted professionals in the field of autism generously give of their time and speak at the Family Resource Meetings.
